Damn,
This has been one hell of a year,
It was one of the most dramatic, traumatic, insane and beautiful years of my life.
I've learned to be brave, I've learned I can live on my own and I've learned that quality friends are so much more important than the quantity of friends you have.
I've learned what working hard is like, and I've learned that in the real world you really have to solve your own problems because no one will solve them for you.
I think I will be able to go into the new year with class, and a calm in knowing that the friends and family I have are made up of the coolest, most genuine, creative and beautiful people I know.
And I have a feeling in my bones that 2012 will be a much better year

So here is to 2012
May everyone have an awesome, sass-tastic year!

Have a safe and happy New Year
and PLEASE keep it sassy,

On the 12th Day of Christmas, My Sasssquatch Gave to Me...

10 Drummers Drumming

last day and sorry this took forever, bleh
BUT

My final outfit in my series
You can call me the little drummer boy hahaha

I found this AMAZING Marching Band Jacket on Haight Street in San Francisco MANY moons ago and I've been trying to figure out how to wear it

My new Kate Spade socks with these sassy little plastic shoes that I think are from Nordstrom

and I'm wearing a Forever 21 peter pan top under a white Forever21 lace dress

with a sassy little black bow!!
ALSO a darling bow from my dear friend Sarah
(we're gonna start a joint blog this new year so get ready for that)

SO when I think of drummers I think of marching bands
I always wanted to be in a marching band
but my school was too tiny!
I think that Marching band chic is a seriously understated fashion trend that needs to be resurfaced
so bust out your piccolo, mouth guard and polyester ensemble and get ready to play :)

Have a great new years and dont forget to keep it sassy,

expect the last day of christmas comes after I come home from work

:)

On the 11th Day of Christmas, My Sasssquatch Gave to Me....

Gotta be honest, this day was my absolute favorite for outfits
So "pipers piping" refers to bagpipers piping
and if you know anything about me, I'm scottish and a HUGE fan of bagpipes
Whenever I hear them I feel a strain in my heart, like the motherland is calling for me!

Anywho for this outfit I wore all my favorite tartans
Green plaid blazer from Club Monaco

Pants from J.Crew
Socks from Urban Outfitters
Button down and shoesies from American Apparel

And my schmadorable Glengarry I found on ebay!

This outfit is my favorite by far because growing up in Hawaii I always felt a disconnect from my culture.
I'm Irish, English, Scottish and Welsh but growing up here I was just referred to as "Haole" (or Hawaiian for foreigner).
Whenever I wear some plaid, listen to bag pipes or even just eat cabbage I feel closer to my ancestors and the people who are the reason I am here today!

and for some very exciting news this little piper will be jumping across the pond all the way to England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales this summer

I'm indubitably excited.

Where are you from?
and do you love bagpipes as much as I?

Have a wonderful day
and PLEASE keep it sassy,
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

On the 10th day of Christmas my Sasssquatch gave to me...

10 Lords-a-leaping

"What if I were a boy?" is not a question I ask myself often
in fact growing up the youngest of 4 girls with no brothers, and attending an all girls school
I don't quite understand the opposite sex, at all

Especially when it comes to men's fashion.
I live in Hawaii where "aloha friday" is actually "aloha everyday" meaning casual attire isnt an exception but a normality.
Maybe its the weather, or the laziness, I haven't a clue but all I know is I don't know a single boy who dresses well at all.... :(

But that doesnt mean I don't appreciate some good mens wear
SPECIFICALLY
Alexander McQueen and his spring 2012 line
These are my four favorite looks

Okay first off this model is a total Baldwin, whoever did the casting for this show did tres manufique!
Anywho, back to the outfit, I'm a sucker for simple stripes, I find them so classic and completely timeless. The blazer fits very well as do the trousers, correct me if I'm wrong but are those trousers high waisted? Either way I think the outfit is perfect!

THIS OUTFIT!! I die, I simply melt into the floor. That blazer restores my faith in humanity.
Mustard yellow velvet. Its actually a dream. They go perfectly with those ruby colored glasses, they remind me of pomegranate seeds. Also the butter yellow trousers look so causally comfortable.

Now I only dream of seeing a real boy in this blazer but it makes me so very happy, I mean a floral blazer for men! My heart skips in excitement!! And these trousers are super duper cool aswell, I would wear this outfit.

Gingham.... I don't know if you guys realize just how much I love gingham in all shapes and sizes. This monogringmatic suit is sharper than an inuit spear! If I met a man in this outfit I would propose to him on the street immediately. And the two different size prints makes the outfit that much better!
So suit up Ladies and Gents,
and Please keep it sassy,
